**Position Type**: Talent Pool Creation for Ongoing and Temporary Full-Time roles and Part-Time roles (Flexible working hours)
**Training**: Paid training with a Certificate IV in Correctional Practice
**Your role**
As a Community Corrections Officer, you will join a dedicated and dynamic team focused on offender rehabilitation and enhancing community safety. In this role, you will collaborate with individuals under supervision to develop and implement rehabilitative strategies, monitor progress toward established goals, and conduct home visits to ensure compliance with conditions. You will benefit from a supportive work environment and opportunities to engage in staff activities, all while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Nowra Community Corrections is a large community corrections team offering exposure to community, pre-release and reporting centre contexts on the beautiful South Coast.
We acknowledge the multiple clans and lands of the Yuin Nation and Dharawal people as the traditional custodians of the land on which we work.
Nowra is an Improving Aboriginal Outcomes (IAO) innovation site, servicing a high volume of Aboriginal clients and communities, currently offering the Staying on Track Reintegration pilot, in addition to other IAO initiatives.
There is strong collaboration with community partners and South Coast Correctional Centre multi-disciplinary teams, with the opportunity to work in parole units at that centre.
Nowra Community Corrections Officers are supported by a holistic Circle of Services Specialist Team, inclusive of a Senior Psychologist, a Co-Existing Disorders Coordinator, an Aboriginal Community Engagement and Culture Officer, an Aboriginal Reintegration Officer, Services and Programs Officer and a Initial Transitional Service (ITS) case worker, promoting collaborative, dignified case management practice that support improved outcomes for our clients and the community
