At TargetEd, we believe in the transformative power of education. We work in partnership with students, families, schools, and professionals to deliver personalised learning that helps every student succeed.
TargetEd specialises in personalised tuition and academic coaching that addresses individual needs — whether for the purpose of excelling, gaining a head start, overcoming learning challenges, or navigating specific learning requirements.
We're in an exciting growth and expansion phase, and we're seeking passionate, registered teachers to join our network on an independent contractor basis, delivering targeted, one-on-one and small group tuition. TargetEd matches you with students, and you invoice us for the hours you teach.
These roles are flexible and can be undertaken in addition to a full-time teaching role, with out-of-hours slots available. Sessions are conducted on our premises in Northcote, providing a professional environment for teaching. This opportunity is particularly suited to:
* Part-time teachers seeking extra hours
* Semi-retired teachers
* Teachers on long service leave
* CRTs and casual staff
Current areas of high demand include:
* Physics
* VCE Mathematics (General, Methods, Specialist)
* English, including VCE English
* Primary School literacy and numeracy support
We're not a mass-market tutoring agency. We're a teacher-led, collaborative model where professional expertise, strong relationships, and genuine care shape every lesson. Together, we're setting a new benchmark for what tutoring can achieve — in the classroom and beyond.
Your Role Will Include:
* Delivering high-quality, curriculum-aligned tuition in your subject area(s)
* Designing and adapting learning plans to meet individual student needs
* Building positive, productive relationships with students and families
* Contributing ideas and feedback to strengthen our shared model
What You'll Bring:
* Current teaching degree and VIT registration (essential)
* ABN (or willingness to obtain one)
* Classroom experience and a proven ability to adapt to different learning types
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to professional integrity
Why Join TargetEd:
* Flexible, out-of-hours work to complement your existing teaching role
* Sessions conducted in a professional learning environment at our Northcote premises
* No marking, no admin — just teaching
* No travel to, from, or between student appointments
* Be part of a growing, teacher-led network shaping the future of tutoring
* Work with students matched to your expertise and teaching style
