Primary objective

Provide high level project and contract administration advice, services and support to Project Managers, Project Administrators,

and client agencies to support and achieve the delivery of Government's Civil and Infrastructure programs.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide high level advice and support to Regional Director, Project Managers and Project Administrators to ensure that projects

and contracts are compliant with business processes and accountabilities.

1. Provide all data recording, documentation and record keeping services related to Capital Works Projects, Minor New Works,

Repairs and Maintenance, Consultancy and Recoverable Works Projects across Infrastructure, Civil and Housing business units

within the Region.

1. Process and monitor the financial administration of projects and contracts to ensure cash flow and expenditure targets are met

and accurately reported on.

1. Provide support, monitoring, and training to the Project and Contract Administration team members and foster a positive

workplace culture through exemplary practices and role modelling behaviour.

1. Establish an excellent working relationship with clients and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, on all matters

relating to project administration.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Experience in providing project and contract administration advice and support on Capital Works Projects, Minor New Works,

Repairs and Maintenance, Consultancy and Recoverable Works Projects.

1. Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills in order to explain procedures, standards and systems

in a manner suited to the needs of technical and professional staff as well as client agencies and prepare accurate

correspondence.

1. Sound knowledge of project administration, contract administration, procurement, financial management and reporting systems

as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office related software.

1. Demonstrated ability to train, mentor and provide guidance to team members on the job.

2. Demonstrated high-level skills in maintaining data integrity with thoroughness, attention to detail and accuracy.

3. An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.

4. Ability to work in an autonomous environment and utilise well-refined time management skills in order to meet priorities.

Desirable

1. Sound knowledge of business management and business drivers in a political and economic environment.
