My client is a fast-growing scaleup with a platform that has serious traction and a large, established customer base across Australia and New Zealand. They're building software that gets used every single day with real scale.
THE ROLE
This is a senior hands-on technical leadership role for someone who wants to own the engineering function and grow into a Head of Development. You'll lead from the front - setting technical direction, mentoring the team, and staying deeply involved in the code. If you're looking to step back from hands-on work, this isn't the role. If you want to step up and own something meaningful, it is.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
* Technical leadership and direction across the full stack
* Hands-on development across Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud
* Architecture decisions, code quality, and engineering standards
* CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps practices
* Mentoring and uplifting the broader engineering team
* Collaborating with product on delivery, priorities, and roadmap
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* 10+ years of software development experience (15+ preferred)
* Strong Microsoft stack - ******* WebForms, MVC, WCF, Web API
* Azure cloud experience
* SSO, OAuth2, JWT
* jQuery and Bootstrap
* MongoDB or other NoSQL databases (CouchDB, Couchbase or similar)
* Git and Azure CI/CD
* Strong grasp of software design patterns and the full SDLC
* Figma or equivalent UI/UX tooling experience
* Active user of AI tools to accelerate development velocity
