Senior Consultant at Taylor Hopkinson | Offshore Wind

We are supporting a leading international renewable energy company in their search for a Sales Manager to lead PV module sales across Australia. This role will be responsible for driving sales strategy, managing key accounts, and delivering sustainable revenue growth in line with company objectives.

The Sales Manager will play a critical role in developing customer relationships, executing sales contracts, and providing market insights that shape the company's commercial strategy. The position requires a strong mix of business development, client management, and commercial acumen, with a proven track record in international solar PV sales.

Key Responsibilities

- Sales Leadership: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and customer acquisition targets.
- Market Intelligence: Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of competitor activity, pricing trends, and regulatory changes to support informed decision-making.
- Customer & Key Account Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring engagement through high-level meetings, visits, and tailored key account plans.
- Contract Management: Manage the full sales contract lifecycle from negotiation to execution, ensuring compliance and acting as the escalation point for resolving issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical, quality, legal, and finance teams to ensure customer requirements are met and risks are mitigated.
- Product Feedback & Development Support: Collect market feedback on PV module performance and customer needs, translating insights into actionable product development recommendations. Collaborate with product and marketing teams to validate and launch new offerings.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in international sales, preferably in solar PV or renewable energy.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue and growth targets.
- Strong understanding of PV modules, renewable energy markets, and customer requirements.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
