Disability Support Worker Job Description

This role provides quality support services to participants, including assistance with daily living and domestic duties, accompanying them to appointments or day activities, and providing Supported Independent Living.
The Disability Support Worker will work across a 24/7 roster, flexibility around weekends and sleep over shifts required. This may involve working directly with clients who present with complex trauma, psycho-social challenges, and learning difficulties.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing person-centred support to achieve aspirations and goals
* Maintaining positive, dignified, and respectful relationships with participants, their families, and other health support workers
* Using clear and concise language in verbal communication
* Calming emotive situations and de-escalating conflict
Essential requirements include:
* COVID 19 full vaccination status, unless a medical exemption is provided
* A Working with Childrens Check, National Police Check, and NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
* A reliable vehicle and current comprehensive car insurance
* A minimum P2 driver's licence
