Key Responsibilities
This role serves as the principal engineering authority for CRN's structural, civil, and infrastructure assets. The primary objective is to ensure that all legislative, safety, design, technology, operations, maintenance, sustainability, and relevant engineering requirements are met.
* Exercise engineering authority for all structures infrastructure on the CRN, as delegated by the Principal Track and Civil Engineer.
* Review and endorse operational engineering manuals, technical notes, and forms.
* Issue engineering waivers against operational engineering manuals.
* Accept and review engineering designs as required.
* Investigate infrastructure irregularities such as ONRSR category A and B related to structures.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, with expertise in structural and civil engineering. Additionally, they should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
