Overview
Home Maintenance Officer/Personal Care Worker ) — Multiple permanent, day worker positions available in Southern Tasmania. Role supports frail older people and younger disabled to remain at home, within Tasmanian Department of Health guidelines.
Responsibilities
* Assist other health care staff in provision of personal care and mobility duties for frail, aged and younger disabled clients, including lifting and transferring clients.
* Carry out a wide range of non-trade maintenance and gardening services for home-based clients referred to Home Maintenance Services.
You will need
* Demonstrated competence and experience in general non-trade home maintenance and gardening procedures including minor modifications and operation of appropriate machinery.
* Understanding of building regulations related to minor home maintenance issues and safe work practices and their practical application to maintenance services.
* Knowledge of manual handling principles and correct use and care of equipment, tools and vehicles.

* Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care)
Position details
* Locations at St Johns Park and other community health centres in the southern area; travel across southern Tasmania required.
* Multiple permanent, day worker positions available, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary and Benefits
* Operational Health Officer, Level 2: $63,110 to $66,049 per annum, plus 12% employer superannuation.
* Salary packaging: benefits up to $9,010 living expenses + $2,650 in meal entertainment per FBT year + other eligible benefits.
