OverviewOur client is a tier-one infrastructure developer delivering a large-scale, multi-year project.
They seek an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a technically complex civil works program.
This role is client-side, on a 5/2 FIFO roster flying from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
For those open to relocation to a regional location, a relocation package can be provided.The RoleIn this client-side role, reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll take ownership of contract administration, commercial performance, and cost controls across a critical delivery package.
You'll be embedded in a dynamic project team with high visibility across the broader delivery program.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister contracts, including variations, claims and payment assessmentsPrepare accurate commercial reports, forecasts and cost-to-complete reviewsManage contractor progress reports, surveillance records and site diariesCollaborate with planning, engineering and procurement teamsMaintain a register of commercial correspondence and manage timelines for noticesProvide strategic commercial advice to project leadershipSupport procurement processes and subcontractor negotiationsMentor and support junior commercial team membersYour BackgroundTertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction ManagementProven 1st tier contractor experience on complex civil or infrastructure projectsDeep understanding of contract models (e.g. EPC, remeasurement) and construction lawSkilled in reporting, risk assessment, variation negotiation and earned value managementComfortable working in a high-pressure, site-based environmentExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFamiliarity with RMS/TfNSW standards is advantageousMembership with RICS or similar bodies is a plusNext StepsIf you're a seasoned Quantity Surveying professional looking to take ownership of a critical delivery package on a high-profile project, APPLY NOW.
