About the Role
As a Personal Support Worker, you will be supporting our clients with daily living. We offer flexible shifts to suit you, including weekends, active overnights and sleepover shifts.
During Your Shifts You Will
Assist clients with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists when required.
Provide personal care: grooming, bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, bladder and bowel management.
Perform basic wound care and assist with self-medication.
Offer domestic support such as meal preparation, light household duties and laundry.
Provide community access, such as driving to appointments and social activities.
About You
We are looking to employ individuals who are passionate about caring for and supporting people to live independently in their own homes. You will be someone who has an empathetic nature, a positive attitude and can communicate honestly and effectively with clients. You treat others with dignity, respect and without judgement and can work independently.
Experience is not required for this role, as we provide extensive training through our Registered Nurses & Key Support Workers.
You Must Hold
Valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle.
A smartphone device.
A current NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card) and/or a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain.
Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module, or willingness to complete.
Flexibility to work a fixed fortnightly roster with varying shift times.
