The Builders Club are currently seeking a Full time Chefs/ Cooks who are enthusiastic, experienced, and committed team players who are focused on delivering excellent food within a fast-paced environment, whilst also using initiative to impress us with their skills and ambition.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook food in accordance with our menus and presentation standards.
* Understand and prepare foods to meet dietary requirements.
* Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining cooking utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas.
* Participate in regular stock take and inventory control activities
* Ensure compliance of all WHS, Food Safety and club policies and procedures.
About you:
* Have demonstrated experience in a busy kitchen operation, including a la carte and conference and events.
* Must have a positive attitude, be reliable, punctual and a team player.
* Excellent personal presentation.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high quality food to our guests.
* The ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays (essential).
* Ability to follow instructions in a prompt and efficient manner.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery as a minimum.
* Proven experience as a qualified Chef, minimum 3 years preferred.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in large commercial kitchens.
* Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
* Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service.
