Delivery Driver & Yard Hand | Construction Equipment Hire
Location: Sumner Park, QLD
Work Type: Full-Time / Permanent (Monday – Friday, Some Saturdays available)
About the Role
We're looking for a reliable driver who doesn't mind getting work done. Direct Hire is looking for a dual-role Delivery Driver / Yard Hand to join our Sumner Park team. You'll be the face of the company on the road and in the yard.
What You'll Be Doing
* On the Road: Delivering and picking up construction equipment (generators, pumps, small excavators, temporary fencing, scaffold etc.) across the South-West Brisbane area.
* In the Yard: Loading/unloading customers, cleaning and performing basic maintenance checks on returned gear, and keeping the yard organized.
* Customer Service: Providing a quick rundown to clients on how to safely operate the equipment upon delivery.
What We're Looking For
* Licence: Valid Open Manual Car Licence (MR or HR Licence is a huge plus).
* Experience: None needed.
* Fitness: This is a physical role—you'll be active all day and need to be comfortable lifting and securing loads. This role is constantly on the move around Brisbane jobsites.
* Attitude: Punctual, safety-conscious, and a \"can-do\" approach. You're someone who takes pride in keeping the gear and the yard looking cared for.
* Forklift Ticket: Highly regarded (but not a dealbreaker if you're willing to learn).
