Location: Burdekin Catholic High School, Ayr QLD
Salary Range: $39.44 to $41.35 per hour pending experience + Super
We are seeking a caring, faith-filled, and community‐minded School Chaplain to join our dedicated team on a Fixed‐Term, part‐time basis completing 8 hours per week (hours per day negotiable). This position commences on 10th June 2026 and concludes on 4th December 2026. It is a meaningful opportunity to support students' spiritual and emotional wellbeing, strengthen our Catholic ethos, and foster a sense of belonging across our vibrant school community.
Responsibilities
* Provide pastoral and spiritual care to students and staff.
* Create opportunities for faith development.
* Promote Catholic values through social justice initiatives, reflection experiences, and community engagement.
* Work closely with the school leadership team, classroom teachers, families, and the wider parish to nurture a faith‐filled and compassionate school culture.
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Youth Work, Chaplaincy or Pastoral Care or equivalent higher qualification.
* Competencies in making appropriate referrals and mental health.
* Experience working with children and a commitment to child safety.
