Marine Engineer Grade 1 Job Opportunity
Seeking an experienced and skilled Marine Engine Driver to join our team as a Vessel Marine Engineer MED 1. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of vessel equipment and machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, ventilation, sullage, air conditioning, safety, and emergency systems.
* The ideal candidate will have a solid background in marine engineering, with experience in the tourism and transport industry. They should hold a MED Grade 1 qualification and possess excellent interpersonal skills, able to relate to passengers from diverse backgrounds.

About the Role:
* Perform daily checks and maintenance on vessel equipment and machinery
* Assist the Master in conducting safety drills and ensuring the safe operation of the vessel
* Complete daily Engineering log and report defects
* Assist with the safe, efficient, and timely boarding and disembarkation of all passengers
About You:
* Able to perform under pressure and maintain a high level of physical fitness
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong work ethics
* Able to work flexible hours and be well-presented at all times
Requirements:
* Marine Engine Driver grade I (one) NC qualification
* Solid mechanical background with Caterpillar engine experience
* Knowledge of safety and maritime obligations
* Senior First Aid and Resuscitation Qualification
* Drivers Licence
* Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
