Job no: 497792Work type: Permanent Full-TimeLocation: WA - South WestCategories: QSETThe RoleSeeking an experienced leader in safety who can implement, support, and drive all risk and safety operations onsite.This is a South-West DIDO opportunity on a 2:1 roster, reporting to the Project Manager.In this role, you will work closely with site personnel, management, and other key stakeholders to ensure the safe delivery of the contract. You will be responsible for all safety considerations onsite, ensuring client specifications are met, reviewing progress, and liaising with various professionals.We are looking for someone confident and passionate about strengthening current systems and fostering a strong safety culture.Key Responsibilities Ensure employees undertake safety-related activities as per requirements.Conduct routine safety inspections, monitoring, and analysis of work areas with operational personnel.Analyze site safety concerns and recommend solutions to key personnel.Provide advice and support to site after incidents.Lead investigations of site incidents from start to finish.Maintain knowledge of all applicable industry rules, regulations, standards, and policies.Collaborate with management in developing project risk assessments.Use the SRG Global event management system to monitor events and support projects.Assist in developing and conducting health and safety training and orientation programs.Report activities weekly or as required to the HSE Operations Manager.Attend and contribute to scheduled safety meetings.Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes in consultation with the Group Workers Compensation Case Manager.Facilitate internal training programs as needed.
