Salary: $74,433.71 - $85,598.77 per annum + 12% superannuation
Overview
Are you a driven and enthusiastic student looking to gain experience in Development Assessment? Randwick City Council has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Planner in their penultimate year of their Bachelor of Planning studies to join the Development Assessment team on a temporary full-time basis for up to a period of 12 months.
Duties
* Assisting with the preparation of a variety of development application types relating to a wide range of land uses.
* Attending meetings and site inspections with internal and external stakeholders to provide input and gather feedback.
* Performing other duties as assigned.

As a Student Planner, You Will Be
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters program in Urban Planning.
* Have a basic understanding of the planning legislation including Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
* Have strong analytical skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
* Sound problem solving, multitasking, and negotiation skills.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a keen desire to learn Council's software such as TRIM, Pathways, Bluebeam, and the NSW Planning Portal.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
