The Opportunity
As a Business Systems Analyst you will join our Digital Enablement team and report to the Business Systems Manager. This role bridges the gap between business needs and enterprise IT solutions, working closely with project teams and cross‐functional user groups to translate business requirements into technical specifications and support the successful delivery of technology solutions. The role is an initial 12‐month full‐time contract based at our Perth office overlooking the beautiful Elizabeth Quay.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse business processes, workflows, and user needs to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Ensure that requirements are well‐documented, understood, and approved by stakeholders.
* Translate business requirements into functional system specifications.
* Review and validate technical solutions to ensure they meet business needs and requirements.
* Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of project goals.
* Serve as a liaison between business users, IS development teams, vendors/partners.
* Assist in developing test scenarios, participate in testing efforts, and document test results.
* Assess the impact of proposed changes on business processes and stakeholders.
* Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions, and create reports and dashboards.
* Ensure enterprise solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards, and that data is stored, presented, and handled securely in line with the company's ISMS and IBMS governance requirements.
* Work within established project management standards, methodologies, and best practices in a consistent manner.
* Manage the implementation of enterprise systems projects, including planning, scoping, scheduling, and overseeing the entire lifecycle of the project to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Essential Experience
* Knowledge of best practices in data integration and automation.
* Analytical thinking and problem‐solving skills to understand complex business processes and propose effective solutions.
* Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
* Knowledge of database concepts, SQL queries, and data analysis tools.
* Familiarity with system design principles and technical architecture diagrams.
* Basic project management skills/experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of IFS ERP and integration platforms/logic (e.g., Boomi iPaaS) is highly desirable.
