A specialist logistics operation is seeking an Operations Specialist to support the coordination and delivery of complex project cargo movements across multiple transport modes.
This role is suited to an operationally minded logistics professional with experience in non-routine freight who enjoys problem-solving, stakeholder coordination and being close to execution.
The Opportunity
You'll be embedded within a project cargo environment, supporting the movement of oversized, heavy and specialised freight. The role combines operational coordination, client interaction and on-the-ground involvement during critical delivery stages.
While office-based for planning and coordination, site attendance at ports, depots or customer locations will form part of the role as required.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate specialised freight movements across air, ocean and road networks
• Manage day-to-day operational execution of project cargo shipments
• Liaise with carriers, transport providers and service partners to confirm capacity and timing
• Oversee shipment documentation, permits and compliance requirements
• Track job progress, costs and milestones using freight and job management systems
• Support pricing activity, including rate requests, quotes and tender inputs
• Act as a point of contact for customers during active shipment phases
• Identify operational risks and support solution planning with internal teams
About You
• Experience coordinating project cargo, heavy freight or specialised logistics movements
• Exposure to breakbulk, OOG or heavy-lift cargo
• Understanding of multimodal transport operations
• Strong coordination and organisational skills
• Confidence working with freight systems and operational documentation
• Flexibility to attend site-based activities and provide after-hours support when required.

• $110,000–$125,000 + bonus, depending on experience
