Overview
We are excited to be looking for an enthusiastic QA Manager to join our dynamic team at our busy Dubbo Manufacturing site. This business-critical role is responsible for leading the improvement and management of the site's compliance initiatives, quality & food safety standards & the Quality Assurance Team. This position is key to improving quality through a clear systems-focused approach and achieving and maintaining high levels of Quality & Food Safety awareness on the site by driving engagement at all levels. We have recently rolled out I-Leader and firmly believe that maintaining our Quality Standards begins with our Production teams, so being collaborative is essential.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager with a dotted line to the Head of Quality for ANZ, you will be working in a team that is passionate about doing things well and working together to achieve our goals. No two days will be the same, but with a team that believes in working together, you will have the support you need to ensure our equipment runs efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor Quality Assurance objectives and activities supporting and complimentary to RPFC’s corporate business plan and policies.
- Design & implement the Quality & Food Safety Strategy throughout the site to support delivery of the broader business objectives & goals.
- Develop, implement, maintain and enhance the Quality Assurance System and documentation.
- Lead execution, design, implementation, improvement & management of the site's hygiene, sanitation & GMP Programs.
People Management
- Facilitate a positive change culture in the workplace; engage on the production floor and build positive and respectful relationships with operations.
- Coordinate training to maintain a correct balance of skills and ensure succession plans are in place.
- Provide coaching and leadership to high performers to support career development where appropriate.
- Manage performance and disciplinary issues in line with the agreed Performance Management Process.
Health, Safety and Environment
Provide and maintain systems of work and working environments that are safe and without risks to health. Make proactive recommendations and offer solutions to improve quality and work efficiency, and participate in regulatory, third party and customer audits and inspections, and corrective action responses.
To be successful in this role, you will need to
- Proven QA Management experience in an FMCG business with staff management responsibilities. The role operates 24/5 at pace and the QA Team must keep up with the rate of change on site.
- Extensive knowledge of Quality Systems and Internal Auditing in a Food Manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capability including interpersonal skills, influence, negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management.
- Ability to lead a food manufacturing site towards quality improvement and maintain those processes.
- Experience in audit preparation, maintenance and improvement initiatives.
- Experience in HACCP, SQF and related documentation compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology or related discipline; Auditor qualifications are highly regarded.
