About the Role

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is a jurisdiction within a statutory authority, providing justice for Victorians. We determine over 300,000 cases per annum at numerous venues.

As a Trainee Court Registrar, you will provide administrative and customer service support to the judiciary and court users. This involves bench clerking, supporting magistrates with various cases, and operating complex technology such as audio recording systems and videoconferencing platforms.

Duties outside of the courtroom include performing administrative tasks, liaising with stakeholders, and coordinating the movement of parties within a courtroom environment.
