We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position ideal for someone with a strong background in financial management, a passion for accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier updates
Process bank reconciliations and credit card transactions
Prepare and manage general ledger entries and journals
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with BAS and PAYG preparation and lodgement
Process payroll and superannuation
Collaborate with HR for employee onboarding
Invoice agreements and maintain related records
Support monthly and year-end financial reporting
Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Financial Record Maintenance : Ensure accurate transaction recording and compliance
Reconciliation : Resolve discrepancies and reconcile bank statements
Financial Reporting : Prepare reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Supervision : Guide and support junior accounts staff
Collaboration : Work with accountants on audits and financial system improvements
Budget Assistance : Contribute to budget planning and forecasting
Grant Accounting : Manage and acquit grants
Payroll Management : Oversee payroll, superannuation, leave, timesheets, and taxation
Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (Bachelor's degree also accepted)
Proficiency in MYOB and strong understanding of accounting principles
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication
Demonstrated experience in general administration
Ability to work autonomously and within a small team
Flexibility and adaptability
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant applications (e.g., AIM)
Commitment to cultural respect and confidentiality
Experience with Native Title organisations is desirable but not essential
