Our client is a large, project-focused organisation with operations across Australia. They are expanding their operations and moving into new markets. As they continue to invest in long-term growth, they are seeking a Management Accountant to support the financial operations of one of their key business units.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. It's a hands‑on position with a strong focus on financial fundamentals and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Month-end reporting including accruals and journals
* Cash flow forecasting and variance analysis
* Assisting with annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
* Preparing management reports and commentary
* Liaising with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights
* Supporting compliance and audit requirements
Candidate Profile
You are CA / CPA qualified (or working towards) with experience in a management accounting or financial analysis role. You're confident with Excel, able to work across multiple stakeholders, and comfortable juggling recurring deadlines with occasional ad hoc tasks. A background in commerce & industry would be ideal but first movers from an accounting firm that can demonstrate a passion for the business and operations, will also be considered.
