A thrilling opportunity awaits an experienced Nurse Manager to lead a dynamic ICU nursing team at a private hospital in Brisbane. The position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Unit to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget, and business direction of the hospital.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a NUM, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing leadership and direction to the unit to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget, and business direction of the hospital;
* Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management of the area and coordinate the delivery of nursing care;
* You will be accountable for the effective management of human, financial, and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels;
* You will undertake direct patient care as required, providing guidance and support to less experienced nursing team members.
REQUIREMENTS
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following attributes:
* Current Registration with AHPRA;
* Previous experience in a Leadership role;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* A strong commitment to developing in a management role;
* A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care;
* Ability to work cohesively within a team environment;
* Proven time management and prioritisation skills;
* Sound knowledge base in labour management;
* Post graduate qualification in relevant field of specialty or working toward (desirable);
* Post-graduate qualifications in Leadership and Management (desirable).

The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, has 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit, and an ICU; the facility provides care to the local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.
