Strategic Finance Leadership
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the strategic direction and drive performance of key corporate functions including finance, IT, legal, commercial, and people & culture.
* Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and business performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
* Provide expert advice to senior leadership to optimise business performance and mitigate risks.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and associated reporting.
* Develop and implement reporting system enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
* Manage treasury obligations and provide required information for lender reviews.
You will be responsible for leading the finance team, ensuring team members meet their role requirements.
In addition, you will head financial management, including cash and debt management, lender relations, commercial risk assessment, and company insurances. You will also develop and review compliance processes, internal controls, and governance procedures.
Furthermore, you will be accountable for implementing an effective company IT strategy.
Lastly, you will implement a people and culture strategy to drive performance and accountability. You will lead and develop high-performing teams through visible leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need strong technical knowledge and experience in tax, accounting, audit, and corporate matters. A broad exposure and leadership from the corporate environment or public accountancy practices is highly desirable. Public markets experience is also advantageous.
Additionally, you must possess skilled change management, identifying and driving organisational efficiencies across people, processes, and systems. You should demonstrate sound commercial judgement and have an acute external and customer awareness.
A data-driven approach, technology understanding, and ability to translate data into actionable insights and tangible improvements are also essential. Strong communication skills and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders are necessary.
Finally, you must hold tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline. CPA or ACA registration will be highly regarded.
