About the Role
This is a dynamic and collaborative role within our team, where you will be designing enhancements to urban environments.
* Design streetscape and open space upgrades for key activity centres
* Prepare contract documentation including specifications and tender documents and undertake administration of contracts
* Supervise consultants in the design of projects for capital works programs
* Work with project managers to supervise contractors in the construction of capital works projects
* Coordinate and engage with internal and external stakeholders and the community
* Provide design services and advice for landscape and urban design projects
Key Responsibilities
* Develop strong design and documentation skills
* Demonstrate effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders
* Possess tertiary qualifications in landscape architecture, urban design or a related discipline
* Have experience in preparation of designs for typical Local Government streetscape projects
* Experience in preparation of contract documentation and production of tenders
* Supervise contractors effectively
* Possess high-level CAD and graphic design program skills
* Maintain a continuous improvement mindset with a positive attitude
