Procurement Strategist
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Strategist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping our purchasing strategy. In this critical position, you will be the subject matter expert for our Purchase Order (PO) approval process, ensuring every order aligns with our financial goals and business objectives.
As a Procurement Strategist, you will leverage your analytical skills to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement across our procurement operations. You will evaluate and approve a high volume of purchase orders for both domestic and international vendors, serving as the key decision-maker on complex and high-value orders.
You will analyze historical and forward-looking data using tools like Power BI and Excel to assess risk, enhance profit margins, and optimize inventory levels. Additionally, you will proactively identify trends and inefficiencies in buying behaviors and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes and implement lasting solutions.
In this role, you will act as a central point of contact between key departments, ensuring a seamless and efficient PO submission and approval process. You will develop and maintain robust documentation, onboard and coach new team members, and provide expert guidance on workflow optimization.
Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized individual with strong data fluency and analytical skills. They should have 2-4 years of experience in procurement, process operations, or approvals, with a proven track record of driving process improvements and leading cross-functional teams.
