We are seeking a passionate and skilled Wok Chef to join our Tigerfish culinary team. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, love bold flavours, and have the precision and flair to master the wok, this role is for you.
Tigerfish is a bold beachside bar where fun vibes, banging cocktails, striking art and Southeast Asian flavour collide. Everything from our decor to our service is layered to create a fast paced, high energy experience from the moment you step inside.
As our Wok Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic, high-quality dishes with speed and consistency. You'll showcase your expertise in wok technique—timing, seasoning, and presentation—while contributing to a kitchen culture that values teamwork, creativity, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of wok-based dishes to a consistently high standard
* Maintain speed and precision during peak service periods
* Ensure freshness, flavour, and quality in every dish
* Uphold kitchen hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards
* Work collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
About You
* Previous experience as a Wok Chef or in a similar Asian cuisine role
* Strong technical wok skills with the ability to cook under pressure
* Deep knowledge of flavour profiles, ingredients, and cooking methods
* High attention to detail with a passion for presentation
* A team player with a positive and energetic attitude
