Responsibilities
* Coordinate receipt and dispatch of client samples to other ALS laboratories.
* Sort, check, and manage incoming samples, including client‐requested sample pick‐outs.
* Arrange shipping between sites and complete online courier bookings.
* Wrap and strap pallets for load‐out and assist with freight handling.
* Liaise with clients regarding sample submission details, project requirements, and container orders.
* Communicate with laboratory staff when urgent samples are received.
* Maintain storage yards, work areas, and general housekeeping standards.
* Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing freight and maintain supporting documentation.
* Prepare and distribute sample container orders for clients.
* Deliver and collect eskies as required.
* Support general warehouse duties and local site management responsibilities.
* Assist other sites and business units when needed.
* Share relevant market or competitor information with management.
Schedule
* Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Qualifications & Essentials
* Previous warehouse experience (highly regarded).
* A current forklift licence is required, with experience preferred.
* Ability to work in a high‐throughput, client‐focused environment.
* Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time‐management skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Flexibility to cross‐train and adapt to workflow fluctuations and team absences.
Eligibility
To be eligible to work at ALS you must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country you are applying for, or either hold or be able to obtain a valid working visa.
