HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS6 level Network Engineer on behalf of our client, located in SURRY HILLS NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled network professional to contribute to the delivery of critical ICT infrastructure and services across a complex and growing agency. The successful candidate will support the design, deployment, and management of enterprise-wide networks, while helping drive improvements that meet evolving business needs.
About the Role:
* Contribute to the design, build, deployment, and support of secure ICT network solutions.
* Manage WAN/LAN enterprise infrastructure using certified methodologies and accreditations.
* Maintain and improve network security protocols across physical, wireless, and cloud environments.
* Resolve infrastructure-related application and user issues using accredited troubleshooting methods.
* Oversee day-to-day activities of a small team of network administrators.
* Participate in network testing, patching, change management and quality assurance.
* Serve as a subject matter expert in networking technology and support strategic ICT initiatives.
* Engage in stakeholder relationship management and support continuous service improvement

About You:
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator in an enterprise setting
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing ICT infrastructure and following ITIL frameworks
* Skilled in managing both traditional and cloud-based networks
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues
* Experience with network security protocols and certification-backed practices
* Fortinet (NSE 4+), Cisco (CCNP), or similar certifications highly desirable
* Experience with Terraform, Zscaler, and Cloudflare considered a strong advantage
* Confident team leader who can balance hands-on tasks with strategic planning
