Due to continued growth across our business, we now have a great opportunity available for an experienced Plant Fitter to join our high performing team in Enfield.
Your primary responsibility in this role will be to manage and carry out repairs and maintenance of our Enfield Asphalt Plant. This role will require you to be available to work varied shifts, including night and weekend hours, and be available to travel to various Asphalt plants across the NSW region to support operational requirements.
Responsibilities
* Working independently, consulting with Asset and Production teams on prioritisation of tasks
* Ensuring the manufacturing plant complies with relevant safety standards
* Ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest possible standard for operational purposes and to allow the business to meet objectives
* Completing programmed maintenance tasks
* Ensuring all relevant permits and safety paperwork is in place before commencement of tasks
* Contractor & labour supervision onsite
* Completing daily plant inspections
* Monitoring plant equipment for any defects
* Participating in plant shutdown programs when required
Qualifications
* Trade Qualified Fitter
* Previous maintenance fitter experience in a fixed plant environment
* Strong welding and fabrication skills and knowledge
* Experience replacing motors, gear boxes and bearings
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Strong commitment to all areas of safety
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Enjoy developing and maintaining strong working relationships
* Available to work across day and night shifts as required
