About The Role
Aroona by Ardency is a premium retirement resort located in Yowie Bay that offers a unique retirement experience which combines the very best in independent living with the premium amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Concierge to join our dynamic team on a
Casual
basis.
The Concierge is the go-to person for our residents, who is a vital part in the smooth operation of the resort.
The successful candidate, will therefore be required to assist in various areas, having more of a hands-on approach.
You will undertake concierge duties and responsibilities including responding to resident enquiries, delivering packages and shopping as well as cleaning and maintaining the presentation of public areas.
The Concierge team operates over morning, afternoon and overnight shifts which make up a 24/7 roster.
This role is
Predominantly Night Shift (11:00pm to 7:00am)
, typically up to four per month, with flexibility to cover day and afternoon shifts as required.
Reporting to the Resort Manager, you will be tasked undertaking a variety of concierge duties and responsibilities including:
Providing a high level of customer service to the residents and guests of Aroona by Ardency
Ability to work confidently as a lone worker during night shifts (Monday – Sunday Rotation), while also collaborating effectively with the broader team during other shifts
Cleaning duties including detailed cleaning and refreshing of common areas, mopping floors, and maintaining high standards of presentation
Manual handling tasks involve minimal to medium lifting, or manual handling tasks, delivering newspapers and parcels, and assisting with shopping and food deliveries
Responding to resident and guest enquiries and requests
Assist with day-to-day operational activities through different IT platforms
Driving the Resort's minivan within the local area
Set up and pack down of resident activities
Assist with newsletters, journals, and general admin tasks
Contractor management including inductions
Assisting the restaurant team when required
Ensuring that a premium level of customer service is provided to our residents in every interaction.
The successful candidate will receive full training, including buddy shifts to ensure you feel confident and supported in the role.
About You
You will ideally have a background in hospitality or customer service, have experience working in a reception, concierge or administration role.

Proficient skills in Microsoft Office & Outlook
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Be extremely well presented and reliable
Have a passionate and customer-focused approach with a can-do and proactive attitude
Hold a valid drivers' licence
A current First Aid and CPR certificate, or Training can be provided

The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October.
