Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled junior trainee botanist/ecologist to join our team. The primary objective of this role is to acquire technical expertise in ecological projects, with a focus on botanical aspects.
The successful candidate will be involved in conducting botanical surveys, identifying plant community types (PCTs), assessing vegetation condition, and preparing vegetation maps using GIS software. Additionally, they will provide written input to ecological reports and gain experience in business management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- AQF level 7 tertiary qualifications (Bachelor Degree) including Australian ecology, Australian botany, and GIS
- Current driver's license
- Resident within daily commuting distance of our office
