What's the Role:
As the Senior Technical Infrastructure lead, this is a highly technical, hands‑on role requiring deep expertise across the SQL Server Fleet. You will play a critical role in supporting project and implementation teams, taking ownership of complex technical challenges and driving solutions through to completion.
The Role:
* Deliver SQL infrastructure projects, operational support, and consultancy, providing secure, high‑performance database services across the business
* Own end‑to‑end SQL Server delivery including builds, installations, migrations, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning
* Design and support High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions (AlwaysOn AGs, FCIs, multi‑subnet clusters, log shipping, replication)
* Apply strong infrastructure knowledge across Windows Server, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud‑hosted environments
* Drive automation and reliability using PowerShell, T‑SQL, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices
* Lead advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning across SQL, OS, storage, and compute layers
* Act as a SQL Server SME, contributing standards, best practices, monitoring, security hardening, and supporting hybrid/cloud initiatives (Azure SQL, Managed Instances)
What do I need?
* Deliver end‑to‑end SQL Server solutions across projects, operational support, and consultancy engagements
* Install, configure, upgrade, and manage SQL Server components including SSDB, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
* Design and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions across enterprise environments
* Lead automation, scripting, performance tuning, and advanced troubleshooting using PowerShell, T‑SQL, and CMD Apply strong infrastructure knowledge across Windows Server, networking, storage, and n‑tier architectures
* Act as a SQL Server SME, providing expert guidance on security, migrations, maintenance, capacity planning, and monitoring
* Take a service‑provider leadership mindset, owning SQL delivery end‑to‑end and uplifting L1/L2 teams through coaching and documentation
