Our organization is seeking a seasoned Tax Manager to lead a talented team in delivering top-tier financial products. Collaborate with the Head of Financial Reporting to drive strategic goals related to technology, operating models, and product development.
Job Responsibilities
As a Vice President in the Financial Reporting team, you will be responsible for leading the provision of taxable income distribution services, statutory financial statements services, and tax return/discovery and BAS services for clients.
* Oversee and sign off on tax distributions, discovery, tax returns, audit packages, trial balances (TBs), and financial statements for unit trust clients.
* Oversee and sign off on Business Activity Statement (BAS) calculations, Management Expense Ratios (MER), and Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reporting.
* Ensure all deliverables are captured, completed, and delivered according to agreed timetables and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Requirements
Hold a tertiary qualification in Tax, Accounting, or a related discipline.
* Possess at least 8 years of experience in tax or financial accounting within the financial and/or professional services sector.
* Have some experience in a management role.
* Demonstrate experience in Australian tax, specifically related to trust income distributions and trust tax returns, or have solid experience in statutory reporting and application of accounting standards in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards Board and International Financial Reporting Standards for managed investment trusts.
Preferred Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualifications are preferable.
Experience in a CA/CPA firm or a global custodian would be highly regarded.
