Ward Clerk - Postnatal Maternity Unit page is loaded## Ward Clerk - Postnatal Maternity Unitlocations: VIC - Melbourne, Fitzroytime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: March 8, 2026 (26 days left to apply)job requisition id: JR147179## Job Description:*Join an Organisation where we Serve Something Greater; See Something Greater; and Strive for Something Greater!*## **Ward Clerk - Postnatal Maternity Unit - Full Time (38 hours per week)**We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised ward clerk to join our supportive team of midwives and multidisciplinary staff in the Postnatal Maternity Unit.This full-time position is essential to the efficient operation of the postnatal ward and plays a key role in ensuring a welcoming, well-coordinated experience for postnatal families.**About the Role**As the ward clerk, you will be the first point of contact for families, visitors, and staff, providing warm, professional, and efficient clerical and access support.**Key responsibilities include:**· Acting as the first point of contact for anyone arriving on the ward· Managing clerical administration for patients' episodes of care· Providing patient liaison and access support· Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager and ward staff with clerical and administrative functions· Support patient flow by assisting with patient admissions, transfers and discharge processes· Answering telephone enquiries and maintaining accurate records using hospital information systemsAbout YouThis role is for you if you are a confident, positive, and people-focused individual who enjoys patient-facing work and thrives in a busy healthcare environment.
