About company/role:
* Innovative food/beverage manufacturing company
* Based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne
* 6-7 month contract covering maternity leave
* Part-time hours, 3 days a week
* Open to Working Holiday Visas
* Ideal start in Jan/Feb
Your duties, but not limited to:
* Develop and test products, recipes and formulations
* Conduct benchwork analysis to improve existing products
* Document process, trials and results for regulatory and internal use
* Work closely with production, quality and other departments onsite
* Review and update documentation
* Assist with QA general duties such as reviewing SOPs, ensuring GMP standards, reviewing CoAs, customer complaints and non-conformances
* General housekeeping
Your skills/experience:
* Tertiary education in Food Science or related discipline
* Proven experience in a similar role as a Food Technologist
* Understanding of GMP and FSANZ
* Previous experience in a quality role (nice to have)
* Excellent communication skills
* Eager to learn and positive attitude
