The role
Document Writer – Process Asset Management Team
Reporting to the Supervisor Document Writer, you will support the Asset Management team and NBG's business functions to improve task groups, maintenance plans and strategies within SAP, allowing quality work execution to increase equipment reliability and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic asset management plans to ensure compliance with statutory, Newmont, and Boddington standards.
- Manage asset strategies and maintenance plans within SAP.
- Achieve agreed targets and develop short‐term job and project plans.
- Ensure timely loading of STPs into SAP.
- Review and recommend changes to published STPs.
- Ensure STP records comply with NBG document control.
- Develop STPs that address equipment functional failures.
- Collaborate with SMEs, vendors, operators, or trades for technical specifications.
- Use technical drawings to create STPs.
- Write STPs according to standards for clarity, conciseness, and performance.
- Control all high‐risk STPs in the Change Management System.
- Edit and standardise STPs prepared by others.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant trade or engineering qualifications and experience in the maintenance and repair of mineral processing plants.
- Experience in task analysis and formal qualifications or experience in technical writing.
- Advanced English and verbal communication capabilities including reading and writing at an equivalent IELTS band 7 or higher.
- High attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Skilled in graphic manipulation, using tools such as PowerPoint, MS Paint, or Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience with SAP is well regarded.
- Knowledge of technical writing principles and ability to work with document templates.
