The Opportunity
We're partnering with a leading provider in the industrial energy and power solutions sector, supporting critical operations across mining, construction, infrastructure and regional industry. This business delivers temporary and long-term power, compressed air and temperature control solutions, enabling customers to maintain uptime in remote, high-demand environments. Based in Emerald, this role covers a large and high-potential regional territory. You'll have the opportunity to build on an existing base while driving significant growth across Central Queensland and surrounding regions. This is a non-transactional, solutions-led role – ideal for someone who enjoys being on the ground, building relationships, identifying opportunities, and creating value for customers over the long term.
What You'll Be Doing
* Building strong, trusted relationships with customers across mining and industrial sectors
* Taking a solutions-selling approach – understanding site challenges and tailoring practical, fit-for-purpose energy and equipment solutions
* Managing a large geographic territory, prioritising accounts and identifying whitespace opportunities
* Balancing account management with true business development (hunter mentality)
* Regularly visiting sites, engaging stakeholders and uncovering opportunitiesOwning the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to close and ongoing account growth
* Providing practical, technically aligned recommendations that support operational continuity
* Maintaining accurate pipeline, activity, and customer insights through CRM

What you will bring to this role:
* Proven success in a B2B sales, account management or business development role within mining, industrial, construction, equipment hire, power generation, compressed air, HVAC, engineering or related sectors.
* Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage site-based personnel through to operational and procurement decision-makers.
* A genuine hunter mentality with the confidence to identify new opportunities, open doors and convert prospects into long-term customers.
* Experience managing a large geographic territory and balancing business development with account growth activities.
* Solution-selling capability, with the ability to understand customer challenges and recommend practical, value-driven outcomes.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with a focus on delivering mutually beneficial outcomes.
* Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
* Comfortable spending significant time on the road visiting customers, sites and regional locations.
* Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline activity, customer engagement and forecasting.
* A commitment to safety and professionalism when operating within industrial and mining environments
Nice to Have
* Exposure to power generation, rental equipment, compressed air, temperature control, heavy equipment, mining services or industrial solutions.
* Existing relationships across Central Queensland mining, resources, construction or industrial sectors.
* Technical aptitude and the ability to understand equipment-based solutions.
