Responsibilities
- Providing immunisation and screening
- Managing occupational exposure cases
- Coordinating vaccination programs
- Educating on health and wellbeing
- Reporting compliance and statistics
What You'll Be Doing
- In this role you’ll be delivering vital occupational health services that support staff wellbeing, safety, and compliance across WSLHD.
Essential Criteria
- Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife
Selection Criteria
- Immunisation and Vaccination accreditation by Australian College of Nursing or recognised vaccination and immunisation accreditation
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and implement recent processes through training and education in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated commitment to practising patient centred care
- Recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital or community health setting, managing direct patient contact and working with a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in or willingness to undertake training within 3-6 months of appointment in: Venepuncture; Occupational exposure management; Tuberculosis screening
- Awareness of workplace wellness programs and experience in involvement with health improvement programs, in addition to nursing interventions
- Experience in managing a high volume of patient records
- Well-developed computer literacy skills including: demonstrated experience in the use of clinical applications i.e. Cerner or equivalent; Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Employment Details
- Position Classification: Registered Nurse
- Remuneration: $72,152.52 - $101,299.47 per annum / $36.38 - $51.05 per hour
- Hours Per Week: Up to 38
- Location: Western Sydney Local Health District
