Play a key role in development and production on one of Australia's deepest, commodity-rich mines. This is your chance to take your mining career to the next level while enjoying long-term stability and progression! What You'll Be Doing: Working in a team of three shift bosses across production, development and service crew, you will be in charge of either production or development with about 15 crew members under you. Supervise and coordinate underground mining crews to ensure safe and efficient operations. Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide direction to service crew, operators, and miners. Conduct pre-start meetings and safety briefings at the beginning of each shift. Monitor underground working conditions and enforce compliance with safety procedures and regulations. Ensure production targets, schedules, and development plans are met. Liaise with mine supervisors, engineers, and technical staff to communicate progress and challenges. Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification, and implement corrective actions. Complete shift reports, incident reports, and production records accurately and on time. Train, mentor, and develop crew members to enhance skills and efficiency. Manage equipment usage, availability, and report maintenance needs. Respond to emergencies and coordinate safe evacuation or incident management when required. Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in all aspects of underground operations.
