We are looking for a Program Learning Design Lead to join our award-winning Enterprise Delivery Change Management team that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group.
The Program Learning Design Lead plays a pivotal role in the design and delivery of learning experiences that enable workforce capability uplift aligned to the Digital Insurer Transformation Program. This role ensures that learning solutions are innovative, user-centric, and effectively support the adoption of new platforms, tools, processes, and ways of working across the organisation. The role collaborates closely with program stakeholders, subject matter experts, and change and communications teams to ensure learning is embedded as a key enabler of transformation success.

Operating within the Momentum (scaled agile) delivery model, the Learning Design Lead will have experience working within a highly regulated environment, ideally in insurance and with a passion for delivering positive user experience outcomes. They will bring experience in supporting projects delivered through a continuous delivery model (Agile) approach and traditional delivery models.
You will join an Enterprise Change team made up of supportive and highly experienced Change practitioners, communications specialists, learning specialists and leaders who care about our team's development and wellbeing. You will also be part of a wider Enterprise Change Management Community of Practice where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement learning strategies for the Digital Insurer program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and transformation outcomes, and designing scalable, blended learning solutions that support capability uplift and behavioural change
- Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs, co-design solutions, and ensure learning is integrated into broader engagement and adoption plans
- Contribute to end-to-end delivery of learning initiatives, including project planning, resource management, quality assurance, and establishing governance frameworks for learning design, development, and evaluation
- Monitor and report on learning effectiveness, using data and feedback to evaluate outcomes, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies
- Champion capability building and continuous improvement by supporting business units and teams to embed learning into daily practice, providing coaching and guidance to learning professionals, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing learning community
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in learning technologies, digital transformation, and workforce development, contributing to innovation and knowledge sharing within the team and organisation
What you'll bring
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desired)
- Tertiary Qualification in Adult learning/Education/HR Related discipline (desired)
- Learning and Development experience (minimum 2 years)
- Instructional Design of blended learning solutions and design methodologies (desired)
- LMS knowledge (desired)
- Vendor management (desired)

- Learning experience design capability, including the ability to transform technical content into engaging and effective learning offerings.
- Working knowledge of adult learning management practices
- High degree of business acumen, understanding of business drivers associated with the learning function
- Advanced written and verbal skills; consultative interviewing, presentation, report writing and facilitation skills
- Advanced stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Good understanding of the insurance industry, including insurance products, market environment and customer segments
- Strong negotiation and engagement skills
