Housing Program Coordinator Role
This role is responsible for overseeing the intake of newly arrived migrants into short-term accommodations and facilitating their transition to long-term options.
The permanent part-time position involves working 22.5 hours per week, providing a great work-life balance for the right candidate.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of properties used for short- and long-term accommodation by humanitarian entrants.
* Arrange suitable short-term accommodation for clients upon arrival, ensuring their comfort and needs are met.
* Establish and maintain successful relationships with key stakeholders, including real estate agents and other community partners.
* Assist clients with utility connections, making their transition as smooth as possible.
* Follow up on maintenance requests and serve as a contact point for real estate agents, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to plan and support clients' transitions to long-term accommodation, ensuring a seamless experience.
* Transfer head leased properties into client names, streamlining the process and reducing administrative burdens.
* Provide clients with timely advice on rental increases, maintaining transparency and trust.
Requirements:
* Fully unrestricted Victorian driver's license, essential for navigating the region.
* Previous experience in the housing sector, preferably with a focus on multicultural communities.
