This is a permanent, full-time position. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Clinical Nurse - Recovery / PACU, you will be: Overseeing safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards; Supporting and liaising with the Perioperative Services Manager, staff, and VMO anaesthetist; Delivering evidence-based nursing care; Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team; Ensuring patient and staff safety. REQUIREMENTS Current registration with AHPRA; Previous experience in a CN / Recovery / PACU role, or practicing in the role of anesthetic nurse for more than 3-4 years in a team leader role; Have completed relevant post-graduate qualification or commitment to commence within 12 months of appointment; Commitment to Quality Patient Care; Compliance with NSQHC National standards; Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills; Experience in a similar position (desired); Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills; Highly organised and strong ability to prioritise tasks. ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, is an acute facility that provides acute Medical, Day Oncology, Surgical, Maternity, Rehabilitation and Critical Care services. The day surgery unit is a day of surgery admission centre and a day surgery/endoscopy unit. 2 procedure rooms perform various procedures, including diagnostic and interventional Endoscopies, Colonoscopies and minor plastics and urological procedures.
