Do work that matters: This role reports into the Executive Manager Business Technology. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement lifecycle of the Market Data portfolio across all Business Units at CBA (including CommSec, Global Markets, Risk Management, and Treasury). While the focus is on Market Data procurement the role may also be called upon to leverage their expertise in managing the procurement of trading and market related software services. Your responsibilities will include: Procurement Strategy & Execution : Lead and support the commercial management of multiple suppliers across CBA to enable successful delivery of associated business priorities and strategic initiatives. This may include business requirements mapping, supply market analysis, acting as SME for the Market Data category, spend analysis, identification of demand drivers and demand management strategies; conducting market exercises; bid evaluation; negotiation and executing contracting strategies. Stakeholder & Customer Relationship Management : Identify, develop, and manage strategic business relationships at all levels to enable delivery against Bank’s Purpose and strategic priorities on customer service, technology and operational excellence. Requires interacting directly with key internal customers and stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure efficient delivery of procurement initiatives. Contract & Supplier Management: Ensure category strategies and activities align with the Group Supplier Lifecycle Policy as well as other relevant policies and procedures. Assist stakeholders with commercial SME input during the development of effective supplier management frameworks and ongoing performance management of suppliers. Ongoing management of Market Data suppliers including support with supplier audits, contractual reviews, and day-to-day supplier liaison. Risk & Compliance: Ensure business stakeholders have a full and comprehensive understanding of category risks, and all relevant risk documentation and processes have been completed. Liaise with appropriate risk SME’s, Business Owners and Relationship Managers to develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies for the relevant categories. Ongoing management of the Market Data Procurement Guardrails. We're interested in hearing from people who have: Professional experience (5 years) in Market Data Procurement and Supply Chain Management role(s). Prior experience in managing Market Data suppliers would be highly desirable A business related Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution would be desirable but not mandatory Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to be persuasive and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation. Advanced commercial and contract negotiation skills and experience. Strong commercial acumen and vision to align with strategic objectives in a highly complex, ambiguous and a large team environment. High degree of problem solving and decision-making ability. Ability to demonstrate a growth mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo.
