We are looking for a talented and passionate Casual Chef De Partie to join the PLG team at The Coach in Ringwood. You'll have the opportunity to manage a designated kitchen section, supervise junior staff, and assist the team with menu development.
What will my duties include?
* Maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated sections.
* Assist with the induction of new employees when required.
* Maintain professional relationships with external suppliers.
* Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
* Work in conjunction with the head chef to develop and implement a menu.
* Ensure all staff follow safety procedures.
The role you are applying for may be quite fast‐paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.
What We Are Looking For
* Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* Food Handlers Certificate.
* Experience working in a pub/bistro fast‐paced environment.
* Well‐versed in all kitchen areas with hands‐on experience.
* Ability to follow and give directions when required.
* Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
