Sea Freight Operations & Customer Services (Mandarin Speaker)

Wiseway Logistics is a fast-growing global freight forwarding company (ASX listed) with its head office in Sydney and additional offices in major Australian capital cities as well as international branches in USA, New Z Land, Singapore, and China. The company provides export and import services, transportation, and warehouse solutions to a large client base.

Key Responsibilities

* Process import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
* Liaise with shipping lines, overseas Wiseway offices, agents, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal and external customers to ensure smooth movement of documentation and freight.
* Coordinate with customers and warehouse to book slots, arrange delivery schedules to/from customers' premises, depots, and wharfs.
* Prepare documentation for our transport contractors and ensure that all customs and quarantine requirements are met.
* Monitor cargo availability and arrange cartage delivery to customers.
* Monitor and follow up empty container status and organise de‐hire within the container detention free time.
* Respond to customer enquiries, ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided at all times and resolve any issues that may arise.
* Use relevant systems to produce and control workflow coordination.
* Enter invoices to allow the Accounts Team to make timely payments.

Key Skills and Requirements

* Minimum 2 years' relevant experience with sea freight within the freight forwarding industry or a similar role.
* Mandarin proficiency is highly desirable for liaising with our China‐based offices and Mandarin‐speaking clients.
* Sound knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics.
* Familiarity with customs and quarantine procedures.
* Strong understanding of international trade regulations and shipping logistics.
* Experience with customs clearance and quarantine procedures.
* Experience using CargoWise/EDI system (preferred).
* Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
* Solid planning and organisation skills (efficient and a self‐starter).
* Detail‐oriented with accuracy.
* Strong work ethic.
