Reports to: Fulfilment & Inventory Manager
As a Warehouse Storeperson at Harris Smokehouse, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving, storing, and distributing a wide range of products. This full-time role is based in our modern warehouse facility in Mount Barker, South Australia. You will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operations of our manufacturing and distribution processes.
What you'll be doing
* Unloading and receiving incoming goods, verifying quantities and condition against documentation
* Organising and storing stock in the warehouse, maintaining accurate inventory records
* Picking, packing, and despatching orders to meet customer requirements
* Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanning devices
* Completing warehouse administration tasks and reporting on inventory levels
* Completing weekly / monthly stocktake requirements
* Setting up all rooms for with inventory for follow days production
* Adhering to all health, safety, and quality procedures to ensure a safe working environment
* Maintain a clean and hygienic warehouse in line with HACCP procedures
* Conduct monthly stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records
What we're looking for
* Physically fit with the ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting
* Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Forklift licence and experience operating warehouse equipment
* Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes
* A proactive, team-oriented approach to problem-solving
* Unrestricted driver's licence (essential)
* Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role
* Experience in pick packing and order dispatch
* Strong understanding of HACCP and WHS requirements
* Strong computer skills (essential)
* Strong understanding of Inventory management software
