Responsibilities
* As a Radiation Therapist, perform simulations, design and optimise high-quality treatment plans, and ensure accurate delivery of Radiation Therapy based on the Radiation Oncologist's prescription.
* Provide patient-centred care, educate patients throughout their treatment journey, and maintain detailed and accurate records.
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and uphold the highest standards of radiation safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
* Be dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Commit to continuous learning and professional development in a supportive and collaborative environment.
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide colleagues while contributing to the advancement of the department.
* Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and maintain a dedication to ensuring the best outcomes for patients.

About the Role Location and Status
Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is located on Yuin Country and serves as the main acute care hospital for the Shoalhaven region, offering emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. The hospital features an Intensive Care Unit (high dependency and coronary care), a Children's Ward and Maternity Unit, a regional Cancer Care Centre, and a sub-acute Mental Health Unit. A significant redevelopment is underway, with a focus on career development within a progressive and growing team.

Requirements
* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role
* Current AHPRA Registration
* Hold (or be eligible for) a Radiation user licence IA13 with NSW Environment Protection Authority (NSW EPA)
* This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 23 August 2026 with the possibility of an extension at the same or reduced hours
