About the opportunity
We're looking for a Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard-working team at StarTrack Perth Airport. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast. This role is offered on a permanent basis on our day shift roster working 6.30am - 2.36pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to perform overtime on occasion. The rate of pay is $33.03/ph + 12% super plus overtime rates along with a $50/week district allowance applied.
You'll be
* Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service.
* Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road.
* Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse.
* Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.
About you
* You're fit and can lift up to 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you're safe on the job.
* You're laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive.
* You're a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected.
* If you've got a forklift licence that's a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse.
