You will manage month-end processes, lead balance sheet reconciliations, oversee compliance for tax obligations, and contribute to financial audits.
This role offers an opportunity to influence financial systems and process improvements.Role Overview:Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this position covers a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities, including ownership of monthly and annual balance sheet reconciliations, tax obligations (BAS, FBT, Payroll tax), and support for Accounts Payable and Receivable teams.
You will also be responsible for managing the Fixed Assets Register, leading the financial audit process, and ensuring timely month-end closing.
Your collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders will be essential in maintaining financial integrity and compliance.Responsibilities:Lead monthly and annual balance sheet reconciliationsManage fixed asset register, acquisitions, disposals, and auditsOversee compliance for tax obligations, including BAS, FBT, and Payroll taxLead the month-end close process and contribute to year-end financial auditsManage and forecast cash flow, optimizing collections and disbursementsCollaborate with internal and external teams to ensure accurate financial reportingIdentify and address systemic financial issues, initiating process improvementsCandidate Profile:The ideal candidate will have a background in audit and be CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
You will have at least 4 years of experience in a financial accounting role, with a strong understanding of governance and internal controls.
You should have advanced Excel skills and be proficient in using ERP systems.
